A little bit about me…
I live in Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire, with my husband John – aka Mr B – who is a very important (and much-loved!) member of the Weddings by KathyB team.
I’m a very proud mum to two wonderful grown-up sons, Matt and Ryan. Matt is married to the gorgeous Beth, while Ryan is happily married to Amy. And then there are my five beautiful grandchildren – Eva Grace, Jack, William, Seb and gorgeous Harry – who keep me very firmly in the role of proud Nanny!
John and I have been happily married for over 40 years (yes, I was definitely a child bride!), with the majority of our married life spent here in beautiful Worcestershire.
What started out as a little hobby has grown into a real passion and a business that I absolutely love.
It all began with making handmade cards for family and friends for birthdays and special occasions. Weddings were always part of the mix, but back then I was only creating the occasional card for the bride and groom. I never really had the confidence to take the leap into the wonderful world of wedding stationery… until my sister persuaded me to create a stationery range for her own wedding.
That was the turning point.
In 2013, I took the plunge, gave up my ‘day job’ and decided to concentrate fully on Weddings by KathyB. It was a pretty scary decision at the time, but looking back, it was quite simply one of the best things I’ve ever done.
I’m incredibly proud to now call my work award-winning, but what matters most to me is creating beautiful stationery that feels personal and special to every couple I work with.
Every piece is individually handmade by me, right here in my studio in the beautiful Worcestershire town of Droitwich Spa. I use only the finest quality materials and take huge pride in every little detail, ensuring everything is finished to the highest standard.
Quite simply, I make stationery that I would be thrilled to receive myself – and I hope that’s exactly how my couples feel when their finished stationery arrives.
